stress!

How do you deal with it? Work out? Pray? Shop;)? I do all of these. I wish I didn't stress at all, but, it's a part of each of our lives as long as we are human! Another thing that I go to is music. For those of you that have tuned in only recently, I have a musical background in that I studied and practiced Classical piano for 12 years, my entire childhood. So hearing and listening to good music has become part of me and a way for me to enter into art and get outside of myself. As my ballerina friend put it, it's a major part of my life that I have to nurture. So today, I was in the car by myself for about 30 minutes and put a song on a few times that literally became a massage to my ears and thus, my soul! There is something about Natasha Bedingfield's voice and the way she hits the higher notes that really realize beauty in a pure form. She is the girl of the hour for me. Check out Neon Lights as well. Great stuff! Also, I don't listen to the song around the kids because she uses the b***h word twice.

Happy Listening!

  1. Katie, I've been nurturing my (seemingly-long-lost!) musical side lately too, and finding that, growing up in a similar way with piano, drama, choirs, etc constantly at my fingertips (pun intended!) there is a part of my heart that just needs that way of emoting/creating. My latest discovery (for the last year) is Audrey Assad - she uses a ton of piano and I.just.love.her! Such real music about lots of things but deeply God-centered too. Do you know her? CHeck her out if not! Blessings to you and your fam.
